  1. Salamander : any tailed amphibian of the order Caudata, having a soft, moist,scaleless skin, typically aquatic as a larva and semi terrestrial as an adult: several species are endangered
  2. Python : any of several Old World boa constrictors of the subfamily Pythoninae,often growing to a length of more than 20 feet (6 meters): the Indian python, Python molurus, is endangered
  3. Venomous : (of an animal) having a gland or glands for secreting venom; able to inflict a poisoned bite, sting, or wound
  4. Hearth : the floor of a fireplace, usually of stone, brick, etc., often extending a short distance into a room
  5. Stolid : not easily stirred or moved mentally; unemotional; impassive
  6. Stride : to walk with long steps, as with vigor, haste, impatience, or arrogance
  7. Shove : to move along by force from behind; push
